Connect KAMAR (New Zealand)

Who does it
Your school's KAMAR administrator. You start it in CareersNote, then send them the connection details. It takes them about 10 minutes.

Send the connection details
In CareersNote, go to Settings → Student data, choose Connect KAMAR, then email the details to your KAMAR administrator.
Your administrator adds CareersNote in KAMAR
They add a new connection and paste in the address, username and password. [Exact KAMAR menu path to confirm.]

KAMAR checks it can reach CareersNote, then shows tick boxes only for the details CareersNote uses.

A first full send brings in your whole roll. After that, KAMAR sends changes each night.
What happens next
We check the first sync before it goes live, so nothing lands in the wrong place. You'll see the status change in Settings → Student data.
What data is sent
- Students: names, preferred name, student ID or NSN, year level, form class, student email
- Optional: subjects or classes, credits this year
- Up to two parents or caregivers: name, email, relationship
- Form teachers: names and emails
Never date of birth, address, ethnicity, health information or photos. Only what we need
How to stop it
Go to Settings → Student data and choose Disconnect, or ask your KAMAR administrator to remove the connection. Students already in CareersNote stay, and nothing new is received.
